Prehabilitation (Pre surgery support)

Prehabilitation, or ‘prehab’, is a service that supports you to improve your fitness, health and overall wellbeing before any planned operation. Aylesbury Central PCN are pleased to be offering this service to our patients where needed.

Most improvements can be achieved through simple lifestyle changes, like increasing physical activity. This gives you the best chance of dealing with the stresses of surgery and recovering well. Our dedicated team of social prescribers are here to help our patients get improve their wellbeing. This can include support in:

  • Eating well
  • Moving more
  • Keeping a health mindset

An empowering and fun programme that explores the most effective methods to lose weight and keep it off. On the course you will address concerns that you have with your lifestyle, such as with your diet and physical activity levels.

We passionately believe in quality education and in long-term sustainable behaviour change and not short-term diet or lifestyle fads. We look at health holistically, offering choices with flexible options. This approach delivers multiple benefits well beyond weight loss including improving sleep quality, stress management, relationship with food and preventing future health conditions.
